Preferred Pronouns: She/Her

Amada Nagberi is a second-year graduate student in the Clinical Psy.D program at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. She received her B.S in Psychology from the City College of New York. While at CCNY, she was a Racial Justice Fellow at the Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership.

Amada has experience with the non-profit organization, Bags of Hope, that creates rescue kits for children and young adults who have escaped human trafficking. She further has experience working with folks experiencing suicidality and psychological distress through her time at a crisis-line. Amada first noticed her calling to mental health early in life, and since then, she has honed in on establishing equity within the field for underserved and racialized populations. In doing so, she strives to practice with cultural humility via an intersectional and anti-racist lens. Coupling this with her life-long dedication as a learner, Amada hopes to carve out space for folks experiencing oppression of all forms to feel safe, seen, and validated.
